Accreditation
To be considered for this award, a beauty school needed to be accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). This independent organization evaluates beauty schools based on a variety of criteria to determine whether they can provide high-quality education to their students.
In addition to making sure the school’s curriculum covered everything a beauty graduate may be expected to know in today’s industry, this organization also considers how the beauty school operates. Instructors and managers are both expected to be qualified professionals who give students a clear procedure of what’s required of them during classes and for completing the program. Our incredible team at Innovate is dedicated to helping our students learn the latest beauty techniques in a safe and encouraging environment. We’re proud of our school’s accreditation through this prestigious organization and what it means for our students!
Professional Salon Atmosphere
After accreditation, deciding on the best esthetics program was narrowed further with multiple other qualifications. One of them was the Student Spa atmosphere where students learn and practice the latest skincare techniques. In our open Student Salon, students work with real clients under the direct supervision of a licensed educator. Being able to train in a high-end spa environment could help our students easily transition from student to skincare professional after graduation!
Focus on Education
We want our students to feel prepared after graduation to go after their unique journey in beauty! That’s why we’ve infused our curriculum with multiple resources that are designed to help our students further their beauty knowledge. In our esthetics program, students will learn through the Prosper U Drivers of Success business program. In today’s industry, knowing how to market your skills is just as important as learning the beauty techniques themselves. Students will have the opportunity to create and grow their personal brand through modern technology, BaaB (Beauty as a Business) and social media as well as other business skills.
Our program also incorporates education from the Dermalogica Institute NYC and MUD Make-Up Designory NYC. At Innovate Salon Academy, we believe that students deserve to have a complete education in esthetics. That’s why we’re so proud of what our curriculum offers to students!
Advanced Certification
The beauty industry is constantly growing, which means that there’s always something new to learn. Students in our Esthetics Program will learn above and beyond skills necessary to sit for the state licensing exam as well as top industry techniques and procedures such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Through Innovate’s partnership with Dermalogica, students become certified in diamond-head crystal-free microdermabrasion and lactic, salicylic, glycolic and enzyme chemical peels. These are valuable skills to know in the medispa skin industry and can help set you apart from other estheticians!
There are also advanced courses available through our other educational programs. Students who want to learn more specialized skills can find out just how many techniques they can perform in a career through our lessons in MUD airbrush, bridal makeup, and E’Lan Eyelash Extensions.
Tools for Success
For this award, beauty schools were judged on offering students something that went above and beyond what you’d normally see. Students who enroll in our Esthetics Program will learn with beauty tools provided in our Bio-Therapeutic Technology kits. This area of esthetics is quickly growing and there are so many new and exciting techniques to try. With their kits, students can learn one of the latest technological methods, Bio Photas Celluma Light Therapy. With so much to discover in the skincare world, we can’t wait to see what path you decide to take!
